Privacy
Short version: we keep your resume, your name, and your link. Your link is built to be shared.
What we keep
The PDF you upload, your first and last name, and the short code behind your QR. That's it. We don't ask for your email, phone number, school, or a password.
Your link is meant to be shared
Your QR code and link are made so other people can open your resume. Anyone who has the link or scans the code can view and download it. Please don't treat the link as private.
Search engines
We ask search engines not to list personal resume pages, and we keep them out of our sitemap. We can't promise every crawler follows that request, so only put things in your resume you're comfortable sharing.
How your file is stored
Your PDF is kept in private storage. It's handed out through short-lived links created when someone opens your page.
Counting
We count simple things like how many resumes were created and how many were viewed. We also note which page a visit started on, the website or search that sent it, and any tracking tags on the link, so we know which pages are useful. These counts use a random device ID, are not tied to your name, and are never shown to anyone in the app.
Staying on your device
TapX remembers your device so you can come back to your QR code. If you clear your browser data, that memory is gone and you'd need to make a new TapX.
Taking it down
Want your resume removed? Email us and we'll delete your file, your name, and your link.
