Career Fair Checklist

Everything worth doing before you walk in, in the order it makes sense to do it.

Bring a one-page resume as a PDF, a QR code for it saved on your phone, about ten printed copies, a short introduction you've said out loud, and a list of the tables you care about.

A week before

  • Update your resume and cut it to one page.
  • Look up which employers are attending and pick your top ten.
  • Write two sentences about yourself and say them out loud until they sound normal.

The night before

  • Save your resume as a PDF named after you.
  • Upload it and save your QR code to your photos.
  • Print about ten copies and keep them flat.
  • Charge your phone and pack a small battery pack.
  • Pick your outfit so the morning is boring.

The morning of
